Students at LVS Oxford are celebrating an outstanding set of GCSE results this summer, with 88% of grades awarded at 4-9 and 46% surpassing predicted outcomes. Across every subject area, results were above the national average, reflecting the remarkable dedication and commitment of both students and staff.
LVS Oxford provides a calm and supportive learning environment for autistic students, many of whom face high levels of anxiety. Simply taking part in formal examinations is a significant achievement for many, making this year’s exceptional results even more impressive.
Principal Melanie Waller praised the accomplishments of the students and the wider school community, saying:
“I would like to say a huge well done to our students who achieved such fantastic GCSE results this year. I am immensely proud of every single one of them. They have shown tremendous resilience and determination, and these results are a testament to their hard work. I would also like to thank the entire LVS Oxford community staff, families, and carers for their dedication and commitment. Without their support, these successes would not have been possible. These achievements are particularly meaningful given the diverse needs of our students. They show that what others may view as a disability can, in fact, be a superpower. I am confident that our students will go on to their next chapter as independent, capable young adults who can achieve whatever they set their minds to.”
This year’s results highlight LVS Oxford’s commitment to empowering every student to succeed, showing what can be achieved in an inclusive and supportive school environment.
