Last month four of our Upper school students visited Blenheim Palace to meet with Eleanor Plaice, Guest Services Manager. Eleanor is kindly facilitating work experience placements links between us at LVS Oxford and Blenheim.  This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to work alongside the Blenheim team.

The group of students were taken on a tour of Blenheim, to the estates department, customer services and horticulture centre.  The students were extremely excited about working in these areas.

For this project, Mel Waller, Vice Principal at LVS worked with the Blenheim team to design t-shirts which would allow LVS Oxford to display the Blenheim logo as well as the LVS logo on blue polo shirts.

To incorporate our careers programme all the students have created CV’s and will take part in an informal interview with Eleanor and her colleagues. The students will have the opportunity of a mock interview with our LTC HR Director and LTC HR Manager who have kindly offered to come into school and conduct these interviews ahead of Eleanor meeting with the students at the end of October.

The students will begin their placement each Friday after the October half term.
