LVS Oxford are excited to share that despite the national controversy, overall our GCSE results are excellent. The grades across our academic subjects are particularly pleasing.
Tracy Lucas, Deputy Head of LVS Oxford said of this year’s results: ‘This year, students at LVS Oxford have, once again, achieved strong GCSE results despite the difficulties presented by the lockdown. English results were very positive, with 100% of students gaining a 4 and above for the 4th year running. We are also pleased with our science GCSE results, with 100% of students gaining grade 4, this is particularly rewarding as this is a course worth 2 GCSEs.
Drama results were strong for a third year, with 100% of students gaining 4 and above, this is a huge achievement as the lockdown made gaining this qualification especially hard due to the nature of the subject. In GCSE maths, two-thirds of the students gained a 4 and above, which is excellent. These results reflect the continued hard work and commitment by the students and teachers during this challenging time’
We appreciate there will be a number of students who will need additional support and guidance as they look at next steps for the future and so all of our efforts here at LVS Oxford will be in channelled into providing one to one support sessions both in person and online.’
