Flavours of Mexico were on the menu earlier this week as pupils and staff were treated to a special lunch, which included delicious tacos, fajitas and enchiladas.
Themed meals get students talking about different cultures and encourage them to try new dishes!
Of the day, Head of School Louisa Allison-Bergin said: “Pupils with autism can have great difficulty eating a balanced diet due to sensory issues and anxiety around eating in public. Staff at LVS Oxford, including the therapy team and the school nurse, are on hand to encourage pupils to work up to trying new dishes and the importance of a healthy diet is covered through the Cooking, PSHE and Science curriculum’s.”
