LVS Oxford learners from class 1 and class 3 were able to enjoy an autism-friendly concert in May thanks to world-class conductor John Lubbock and some of his musicians from the charity Music For Autism.
Music For Autism aims to enhance quality of life and raise public awareness through autism-friendly, interactive concerts and music sessions designed specifically for individuals with autism and their families.
The event was held at the Endeavour Academy in Oxford and John Lubbock said: "It allows them to really express themselves. There is no disability so great that they can't benefit".
Current research shows that only 15% of young people with an autism spectrum diagnosis are in sustained, full-time employment and we are passionate about changing that statistic.
