Congratulations to learner Hugh who passed his driving test at the end of last year!
As a school at which everything we do is geared towards helping to shape the future prospects of young adults with autism, and building the confidence and skills for them to live independent lives, we are delighted for Hugh. He becomes the second learner to pass their driving test whilst at LVS Oxford after our Head Boy Charlie.
The best news is it shows our other learners an achievable goal that they can now aspire to, with our older learners becoming excellent role models for our younger learners to look up to and showing them what they can do if they set their mind to it.
Many of the tasks the students undertake will help build competencies in citizenship, relating to others, managing situations and working as part of a team - all key to being fulfilled and employable adults.
