To Support a Young Person's Health and Wellbeing

Healthy eating is an important part of our approach. We employ enthusiastic chefs who can establish good rapport with the students and get them to expand the range of foods they eat.

We plan to have a kitchen garden and resident egg-laying chickens, to give a strong emphasis on fresh produce and a balanced diet. We aim to help students recognise that healthy eating is critical for their all round wellbeing.

We recognise some young people with learning difficulties require modified diets or additional dietary supplements, so work closely with parents and students to ensure we meet their needs.

An example of the menu we may offer is as follows (currently available at LVS Hassocks).

We aim to provide them with a 'tool box for life' - a variety of skills and coping mechanisms that they can take with them in to the future.
